Proposed Easements
  • 76 acres 2 miles north of Miltona, MN
    This historic dairy farm has ¼ mile of shoreline on Lake Irene.  The farm has 30 acres of woods and wetlands and 46 acres of tillable ground. Maple sap is harvested in the woods each spring to produce maple syrup. This use and farming operations shall be allowed to continue and an eight acre building site shall be reserved. The lakeshore area shall be restricted to a family dock not to exceed four boat slips. A screened in gazebo and storage shed not to exceed 250 sq ft shall be permitted near the dock area. The eight acre souse and farm site shall be 600 ft plus from the lake shore. No grazing in the woodlands near the lake or near the ½ mile of creek bottom o the west portion of the property shall be permitted as this area is wildlife habitat and fish spawning areas. This farm is a historic Bald Eagle nesting area. Two years ago the nest tree fell down. The current nest tree borders the creek. No human or machine trespass shall be allowed during the nesting season within 150 ft of the nest tree.
  • 180 acres three miles North of Evansville, MN
    This farm includes an old building site, 140 acres of tillable ground, 10 acres of wetlands, and 30 acres of woods and pasture plus 3,780 ft of lakeshore on Stockhaven Lake. The easement will allow the continued use of the building site which is 900 ft from the lake. Lake use shall be limited to one family dock not to exceed 4 boat slips. Farming and livestock operations shall be allowed to continue.
  • 80 acres five miles South East of Parkers Praire, MN
    This property contains 60 acres of tillable ground. ½ mile of both sides of spruce creek crosses the property. Spruce creek is about 11 feet wide and two feet deep. The easement will restrict the ground to one five acre building site with 53 acres preserved as farm ground which could also include trees or grass/pastureland. The 20 acres of creek bottom shall be preserved as wild life habitat, grazing grounds, with forestry products harvesting and planting.
  • 43 acres one mile East of Parkers Prairie, MN
    This property contains 3400 lineal foot of lake shore on Horsehead Lake, a four acre open water pond, 12 acres of hardwood timber and 23 tillable acres. The goal is to restrict the parcel to a five acre building site on the tillable area with a building setback of 150 ft from Horsehead Lake. Ground within 100 ft of the lake shall not be tilled or timbered.
  • 200 acres three miles North West of Evansville, MN
    This property contains an operation dairy farm with woods, pasture, wetlands, and 180 tillable acres. Included is 8450 feet of lake shore on Stockhaven Lake. A new subdivision was done across the lake in 2007 and has sold out. The existing five acre building site shall be preserved. A one family dock shall be allowed with four boat slips maximum. The lake has been restricted to no gas powered boats. All agricultural operations shall be continued.
  • 157 acres eight miles West of Alexandria, MN
    One set of buildings exists and shall continue. All farming operations shall continue. There is 11,200 feet of lake shore on Quam Lake and Hallique Lake. All of the lakeshore shall be preserved with no dwellings and only one family dock on each lake.
